ROAMS

The DVS was originally created to help homeless people in their daily struggles and to provide them with food, beverages and clothes. We are able to do so by doing roams across the city of London.

What is a roam ?

A roam is the action of going in the streets and meet with homeless people to make sure they don’t need food, drinks, a shelter, …

Our action

At the DVS, we organise one roam per week: a group of people goes in an area such as King’s Cross, Old Street, Angel  to distribute food, drinks, clothes, hygiene products to the rough sleepers.
However, it is a daily job to oversee the smooth running of the roams as we need to arrange the schedule to make sure there are enough volunteers participating to them, as well as ensuring we will have enough food and beverages to distribute.

Where do we take action ?
​At the moment all our roams are happening near King's Cross Station, Angel and Old Street but we are planning to create a new circuit across London.

​We pick our circuits in function of the number of rough sleepers present in the area and the number of partner shops and restaurants we manage to get.
